You know, I’m annoyed. I’m annoyed with my kids, husband, house, everything!! I’m annoyed with work, and my sister, and my body.
You know what that means… The bitch is back. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, that version of me that my husband says, “Yes Maam,” too is BACK.
What he doesn’t understand is, I hate being this way. I KNOW I’m annoying. I KNOW I’m bitchy. I KNOW I cry at the drop of a hat for nothing. I don’t mean to. I certainly don’t want to.
For all the men out there, here’s what PMS feels like…
For me it lasts about two weeks. Mind you, the month is only 4 weeks long. Fuuuuuunnnn. And ladies, this is just for me – not a generalization of all women. Headaches: Constant – not terrible, just nagging, always there, can’t get rid of it. Fatigue: Can’t seem to get enough sleep, always dragging. Emotions: Easilly annoyed. Things that would normally just roll right off your back don’t. So, if someone insults you, or says something mean or insensitive that you would normally just write off? You can’t. It’s either a knife in the heart, a wound to never get over, or you go into, “Oh No You Didn’t” mode. Crying at the drop of the hat. Seriously. Over the STUPIDEST stuff. Usually it’s a last straw moment. You’ve gotten through the day – a rough one. You get home, sit down to do some work, and drop your pen. And that’s it. You’re a blubbering mess, and your husband is looking at you like you suddenly have horns (maybe in his eyes you do).
It sucks. I’ve now been on an herbal remedy for about a month, which seems to be helping my general mood, so I’m curious how it will help my PMS from hell.
Oh and men? I didn’t mention all the gory details that ends the PMS extravaganza. Consider yourself saved.
