TRENTON, N.J. (July 30) – A young woman who died in a fiery auto crash on the New Jersey Turnpike last weekend has been identified as Heather Bratton, a fashion model from Florida that many predicted was on the cusp of fame.
What a terrible way to go. Can you imagine? Trapped in a car on fire and dying that way? Claustrophobia and fires have always been fears of mine…
Well, y’all. This is my last post for Blogathon 2006.
I did good. I raised money. I stayed through to the bitter end. There are 284 others of you that did the same. I’ve been up about 25 hours now.
My fingers hurt. My digestive system is a little out of whack. Dude – the last time I stayed up all night, which wasn’t induced by an infant, was over a decade ago, and supported by illegal substances.
Over $97,000 total raised. That’s amazing. I’m very impressed. Thank you frykitty for the experience.
Congratulations to you all. Now go to bed. I don’t want to see any of you online until the day after – well – today.

Male or female?
Female
How long have you been a blogger?
I started as a journaler in about 1994. Have had several incarnations since then and only recently switched to a blog format for convenience sake.
How would you categorize your blog, as far as subject matter?
It is a personal journal, but I touch on everything in my life, including what comes into it, such as outside headlines.
What blogging software do you use, and what do you like/dislike about it?
I have my own domain, with a host, and I use Moveable Type. I truly like it’s flexibility. It was like another language to learn, though, and I finally had to pay for installation.
What’s your preferred time of day to blog?
Throughout… I like write when the mood strikes me. However – none of this 4:30aM crap.
If you read other blogs, what types do you prefer?
Witty, funny.
Do you have favorite blogs that you read faithfully?
Gracious, I have at least 100 I read. I use Bloglines.com to keep up with them.
How important is “comment love” (i.e., getting lots of comments on your posts) to you?
Only if there’s something to say. I don’t like the “hi I was here” kinds of comments. But when they have an opinion, or something to share on whatever the topic is, I like them (the readers) to engage.
Do you tend to estimate readership of your blog by the amount of comments posted?
No – I’m a lurker myself.
How important to you is the style/design of your blog?
It’s important to me that it reflects me.
