Trivia!

October 5, 2006 By Michele 1 Comment

Ok. So I found a site that feeds a sick ability of mine.

Did you know I’ve been on game shows?

Yeah. I have this weird brain that cannot remember the geometry I was taught, but I will remember the mating rituals of worms. Just in case I was ever asked. I have a trivia brain. I do. Poe will actually call me from work, when something comes up in conversation and he wants an answer. It could be how to spell the longest word (did you know that antidisestablishmentarianism is NOT the longest word? pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is but it might be a hoax.) or “who was that guy that was in that movie with that chick with the car?” And I’ll know exactly what he is talking about or how to find it.

Don’t, however, ask me what I had for breakfast yesterday. I won’t know.

So now I have found this – the Aviva Trivia Blog. I have bloglined it. Watch out Baby.

So yeah. If you like trivia or whatever it’s cool. I also like the blog format, ’cause then I can learn something new everyday. Like these little snippets.

* We all like our trivia and apparently so does Snapple bottled juices. One piece of trivia found on the bottle cap was the fact that fish can cough! Who knew.

1. Just in case you ever wondered, the term “juke” is a southern term for dancing. Makes sense when you think about it. The dances might have been a little different back in those days, but the kids still loved it.

Scientists in Brazil were looking to make a hardier bee for better honey production; instead, the result was the aggressive hybrid known today as killer bees.

So go be smarter.

Video to See

Please go to jinkies, and see this video. It literally made me cry at my desk. I don’t know why. But I know I could use one.

Holes.

Okay. So. Y’all MAY not know this, but I have a bit of a flirtation with body art. I’ve got two tats. I’m looking for a 3rd, but I can’t decide on how the design should work (I always have a hand in the actual design). I also used to have an eyebrow piercing – which I took out when looking for work as to look more professional. ‘Cause I am an adult after all, no matter how much I would like to deny it.

ANYWAYS – my point is this. I’m trying to lose weight. I’ve decided on a goal. If I get down to my goal weight, I’m getting a belly button ring. Um. I just realized this might be news to Poe. Hi honey! How do you like this one?

(on a side note, um, OUCH!)

So, this is going to be my gift to myself if when I lose my weight.

Renter of the Week

Please take a gander at my new renter, Jolie of Allrighty Then.

First of all, I love her design. It’s clean, the colors are soothing, and it’s fun. Here’s what she has to say about herself:

I am Jolie. I live in South Louisiana.
I am an admin/paralegal for a small
lawfirm. I’m trying to blog about the
positive things in my life. Allrighty then,
let’s get to it!

She also has a 100 things list.

Go check her out and give her some love!
