Please? Pretty Please?

One blogging thing I’ve always wanted to do is have a problog – paid, and sponsored – for Disabled Parents. Parents of kids with disabilities. Someplace that’s more conversational than clinical. Someplace to find both deals on medical supplies AND how to deal with tactless nosy neighbor. Someplace to rant, and someplace to see what you should take to your IEP.

She’s sick. She may be dying.

She doesn’t want to die.

She’s worried.

When she worries, she makes her heart troubles flair up. Her heart troubles are unrelated, but when she gets upset and her heart acts up, well, that equals unstable on her vitals. Which means no tests. To find out what’s wrong.

My father wants me to call and talk to her. He knows I’ll be blunt and straight with her.

But I can’t right now – I’m crying too hard – and she was getting a breathing treatment.

I’ll try again in 15 minutes.

Logan: No! I can’t go! We missed Grandma’s birthday!

Poe: No, Mommy took your present to Grandma in the hospital yesterday.

Logan: But she didn’t get cake!

Poe: No, she can’t have cake in the hospital.

Logan: (sputters) But what about ME!
