Last night we had a terrible time getting the kids to sleep. They were still fighting at 11pm. I think it’s the heat making them uncomfortable.
Jay usually checks on the kids before he comes to bed, since he usually comes to bed later than me. It used to be so that we could make sure they were covered, although, that part’s not necessary in this heatwave.
So Jay goes in. And Logan’s not in bed. Okay. He looks to Joseph’s bed, fully expecting to find Joseph there too. That would be business as usual. But no. No one’s there.
Jay didn’t panic, as they couldn’t have gotten out of the house without passing him first – he was just befuddled. Finally, he saw a foot. Sticking out from under one of the beds. Jay got down and looked… Joseph had taken his pillow, and they’d both fallen asleep on the pillow under the bed.
Some days I wish my right hand was an actual camera.
Brings back very warm and funny memories. My kids made it their project to see how often they could outwit us and sleep in the same room. We just gave up, heck if they liked each other enough to do that, we figured it would be good for their “sibling relationship.”
Plus, it passes. I sort of missed it when they stopped. 🙂

Well… You know it beats them crawling in with us… I had to start going to the chiropractor after the chronic offender kept putting his knee in my lower back 🙂 Thanks for reading! I blogrolled you.
