I do not know anyone who has lost their life in battle. Instead, this Memorial Day, I would like to thank those who have served for me, an American.
- husband
- father-in-law
- father
- uncle x 2
- grandfather
- great-grandfather
- and even my great-grandmother, a riveter during her husband’s service in WWII.
Perhaps Veteran’s Day is a better time to remember them, but – it is these people I’m thinking of today.
