Today’s question comes from Mr. Fabulous: Is it okay to keep secrets from your spouse?
Huh. I guess it depends really on what you’re talking about. There are yays and nays on this one.
For example, surprises are secrets, but those are okay. Gifts, birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, parties, or that “just something special.” Those are okay. They’re meant to surprise and delight.
Another example, which I don’t feel are so much secrets as privacy (Graphic Ahead Warning – below the fold):
Tomorrow is Wednesday… That means it’s What Would We Do Wednesdays! The problem is this – we don’t have any questions in the hopper, so we need your help.
How is works? You send in a question, comment, headline, or topic, and my husband and I will give you a he said/she said answer. We’ll both give our versions, without reading each other, on each of our blogs.
This serves two purposes. The not so selfish one – you get two opinions, possibly the same, possibly not. The selfish one – it sparks conversations between Poe and I.
So send in your questions or whatever… It doesn’t work unless you play!
A couple bits of randomness…
No WWWDW today… No one has sent in any questions. Thinking of abandoning the project due to lack of interest.
On the kid front… Just had to get this down, so I don’t forget. Logan says “Leaky Mouse” instead of “Mickey Mouse.” He thinks he’s saying it right. It’s one of those things I make him say over and over because it makes me giggle. I’m mean.
I have Logan with me at work today… I had to. My boss is gone, so I have to be here, and we had a babysitting emergency. So – I’ve got him watching movies. I’ve got snacks, I’ve got toys. Got his favorite soft blanket. So here’s hoping he’ll stay entertained so I can work – and last the whole day. It’s been one of those days where you have to do what you have to do. Period. No whining, just get it done. I’ve never had to do this before, I’ve always managed a way before. Not today though – not enough notice. Our babysitter was in the hospital last night, and may go back again. I don’t know what’ll happen tomorrow. Oy.
I seem to be boring, but life is never boring, that’s for sure.
