Quick note to say I’m not updating for a couple days… On a 1st grade desert trip with the family.
Hey! Didn’t you sit behind me in Old Testament class at Bible School? Or maybe you were in my Christian Spirituality discussion group? Or, wait, were you the one who streaked across the campus right before graduation?
I soooo should have had more than that. Not right. I need to do some more studying.
Time is always an issue. Have you noticed that?

Joseph will be 7 on Thursday.
Poe got a job. A good one, with extra training to become an engineer, along with a major raise. This is good.
He got the job the day before the car hit the shitter in a big way. Isn’t that always the way around here?
My parents are on a month long vacation. Again. Reducing my time. Again.
I’m not depressed this time around – just pressed for time. Although I am playing a lot at night.
And dude. Why didn’t you parents out there warn me about how much time this takes?
I mean… I thought we were friends. I thought you were supposed to warn me about the time suckage of certain things. I mean really – double headers for 6-year-olds? Oh – and I’ve discovered something… My father is a “baseball dad.” Who freakin’ knew. Or that my husband – “Don’t volunteer for ANYTHING. I just want to WATCH.” would end up with a coach’s shirt? Or that my father-in-law would take the teenage volunteer aside – a fellow Giants fan – and say, “That’s my grandson. You take care of him. Show him how it’s done.”
WHO are these people?
I have not disappeared. But I’m working on simplifying the template (felt too busy) so I had my designer (beautiful Karen) take out the third column, and now, I’m simplifying the content in the sidebars and such – taking out things that aren’t something I’m a part of anymore, etc.
Plus I’m creating a weight loss journal, but it’s template/content isn’t done yet.
I’ve got limited writing/blogging time, so that’s what I’ve been doing with it. I still have some things I want to tell you though when I’m “back” –
For posterity I want to tell you a story about one of my cats when she was a kitten, Blogging books, another article published, Joseph’s first baseball game, and the new site… Plus I have something really exciting for me in the works, but I have to find out some more info before I can tell you all.
So – contrary to my previous disappearance, I’m actually not in the midst of my depression and being anti-social.
You know – in spite of life right now.
But really – having a house-husband kind of rocks. But he still needs a job. Dude.
