I’m Pissed Off
So. Someone is stealing my content. However they are linking to me. They are scraping my content, but then listing the link to the entry. So, I think, technically it’s not illegal, since they are listing my link. Problem? There’s my entry, with a bunch of google ads that I’M certainly not getting the money for. See – they’re not commenting on the entry. Just Hoox, or some other names wrote this… Then my entry… Then my link. I don’t really know how to make them stop (since they’re linking me!ARG!)
They’re making money off of my content, without providing content of their own. But the link makes it legal, as far as I can see.
Not only that – but I don’t want my own readers to think I am the one doing it to get more links out there or hits out there.
So – I’m doing some research. I apologize if you read this in a feeder – I may be going to partials instead of full. I also will probably be doing a copyright notice in the feeds themselves. And in each entry.
I don’t want to lose readers ’cause I go to partials… But I may have to in order to protect my own content. Mine. mineminemineminemine.
How do I Twitter?
So… How do you Twitter? I don’t mean the nuts and bolts – I get that. I mean when you’ve got people you’re following. Do you just check Twitter several times a day to see what people are up to? That’s the part I’m not getting.
twit. me not you.
I’m officially twittering now.
Figured it was an easy way to rant a oneliner – rather than posting a blog about how I’d like to bop someone on the head. heh.
So yeah – let me know if you’re a twit too. I’ll follow you.
To BlogHer or Not to BlogHer
So. I have not been able to afford to go to BlogHer in any year. Last year was close, but then some things happened, and I wasn’t able to afford it.
This year is no different. I think I’d be able to afford it (thank you refund) – however. This year (in April) will be Poe and I’s 10th anniversary. I’d really like to do something like a weekend away (sorry – he rates.) That, however, takes an act of God – between babysitting, time of work, etc. So… Basically, we’ll see. If we’re not able to make it work, I’m hoping to go to BlogHer and meet people I only know through the screen.
But, we can only afford one, not both.
Basically, this post is to say… We’ll see.
