But aside from that, she's still completely normal

I haven’t had much in the way of content for a few days. Because of my back, I was out of commission and I’m still making it up it seems at home and at work. So here’s a bit of a rundown on every aspect of my life. Because you know that’s why you read. Ha.

Joseph is doing well in 1st grade. Let me tell you, I love my new secret weapon – email with the teacher. I’m able to give her an instant heads up if he’s upset when he goes to school. The special ed is going well, and the regular class is going well. So – I’m basically holding my breath with him.

Logan is his usual sassy self. Has another heart appointment this week which always makes me nervous – is the prognosis going to change? Do we have to bump up surgery? I normally don’t have a problem with living with his diagnosis – we just live our lives. But the appointments always cause me to dwell a bit more than usual.

It was funny – Logan’s old enough now to have actual conversations. When they were supposed to be sleeping, I heard this on my way to the bathroom:

Joseph: “But you know? It’s just not the same without the capes. [Sigh]”

Logan: “[Sigh] Yeah. I know.”

It just tickled me – because they sounded like two guys talking football – the young’n version.

Poe is Poe.

There’s no money. That’s nothing different. We’re balancing precariously as I’ve started using The Grocery Game – and the money I’ve saved is a wondrous treat. I’m able to save for debt payments and the like, and it really has eased a little bit.

I’ve started playing WoW. I fully blame Aggroqueen. And then Poe got in on the action. Sigh. What can I say. We’re adult gamers, who grew up as the first generation with Atari. (I had the 2600 – PacMan was my first game)

And I spent the money for Poe’s birthday and got him some satelite TV. I’d been saving all year for a trip for him, but then his teeth got in the way. So I spent that money on this instead. For one reason. Monday Night Football. Because, let’s face it – had I not – I would have heard about it every Monday for the whole season. And then some.

I’m finally coming out of the funk I’ve been in, which is a good thing. However, my parents are coming home this weekend with some of Grandfather and Jeannette’s things, and I’m hoping that doesn’t put me back there.
