But aside from that, she's still completely normal

and away we go…

So. We’re up and running! I am, however, way behind on my archive uploading. I could, with MT, do an import, but with all the coding I would have to do anyway, it’s really as much work to do entry by entry. So, I’m still working on that and the other things I want to add to the site.

I haven’t talked to Stacey since Thursday. I’m sort of a slave to her schedule at the moment, and that’s okay. But I worry about her when I don’t hear from her in a while. She’s got a lot on her plate.

So, something odd happened today. My boss was talking to me. She had something to say. She said, “I hope you don’t mind…” I said, “but…” “Well, I talked to my sister-in-law last night [who helped me with some of my adoption/abandonment searched] and she told me about your blog.” “How did she know!? – Oh yeah, searching’s kind of what she does” [enter your favorite expletive here – Dooce can explain] “So, I went and took a look.” [More expletives floating through my mind… Am I in trouble?] Then she said something that’s stuck with me all day. “You really need to keep going with that. You can write. You have something to say. You had me in stitches in some parts.” I was stunned.

And I still have a job.
