The Thanksgiving That Wasn’t

November 25, 2006 By Michele 3 Comments

So. Remember how I was going to be home alone. And it would be lovely and quiet?

Well, those first two days were.

Then, I started having – well continued having mild symptoms, and it only now dawned on me as to what it could be. So I’ve made the first appointment of the day Monday to talk to a doctor about cardiac symtoms.

Then on Thanksgiving I got a call at 5am to come pick up Joseph… My mother was going into the hospital.

She might or might not come home today.

So. I’m a little discombobulated, don’t feel well, and completely missed a holiday. Please, forgive the lack of entries.

So that the couple of you don’t wonder where I’m at, that cold hit. Hard. It’s hard to think, let alone see straight. So it might be a couple days before I’m back. But I will be back.

I am not getting sick.

DO YOU HEAR THAT, WORLD??

I am NOT getting sick.

I’m going to ignore the nose and the throat. And the hot head. And the aching joints.

Because I have to get about 15 people, from all over the world [Can anyone help me with Gambia? How the hell do I find car service in Gambia? What continent is it on? No, really, I need to know] to score a film. Nobody bothered mentioning that they were not local. Nah. Let’s just assume Michele knows every single name of every musician, and their geographic location.

Once again I’m being called upon to pull it out of my ass. Maybe I need to STOP pulling it off, so they don’t think I can do it. Is it possible to do your job TOO well?

Anyway. I am NOT getting sick.

All’s Well

Logan had his bi-annual cardiologist appointment. No change. This is a good thing. Surgery still imminent in about 5 years. But – he doesn’t have to be seen for another 8 months this time around. AND – if that one goes well, another YEAR before the next.

So, he’s doing as well as can be expected with his condition.

Deep End open One More DAY!

September 30, 2006 By Michele Leave a Comment

So. In my first week at Deep End of the Pool, I lost 3 pounds! I think that was just initial water weight gain, but that’s okay, I didn’t have to pay my fee (you don’t need to pay the fatty fee if you lose at least 1 pound.)

They are still accepting joiners through 9/30, so if you want to do this you can. Go join! They’ve been posting healthy stuff on the website. You can do this. I think we’re down to 10 weeks now, so a pound a week = 10 pounds. Wouldn’t you like to go into the holidays 10 pounds lighter?
